hi guys, this spring I finally got the oppurtunity to take gayle donahue's class. my final book was about cryptids, and here are about half of the pieces I churned out. I'm hoping to revisit it during the summer, so I might be updating with more content in the future!

a comic I did for narrative structure illustrating a scene from ernest hemingway's the killers. it was an academic class but when it comes to comics I just wanna do them forever

I try to keep this blog schoolwork-only, but it might be nice to change things up a little. I don't think I post much digital stuff here, so here are a couple new and old pieces :) the first one is a commission for a friend

as a side project while on break, I wanted to practice gouache in my sketchbook once a day. posting the first two days on here is more like making sure I go through with it. hopefully I'll become more ambitious as the weeks drag along!

I took digital landscape with mike humphries, which, surprisingly, proved to be one of my most challenging classes of the term (probably because I still need to polish my painting skills! and other things); gouache + photoshop
